Quintessential Detroit Airport Shot

Nothing quite beats the stunning effect of clearing customs or passing through security in Detroit and finding themselves face-to-face with a Boeing 747 and one of the coolest fountains known to man. This is one of my favorite airport places in the world.

    Being a Detroit native, DTW is one of my favorite airports. The terminal you took this picture in, McNamara, is probably the nicest terminal I’ve been in. A lot of thought and research went into it. Even if you miss the tram by a second, it’s still faster to wait for it to return and then take it to your gate than it is to walk. Charles de Gaulle in Paris is a close second, though.
